My nephew brought me his Switch Lite the other day. It was completely dead, with no power, no display, and would not power on at all. I tried the various reset methods suggested on YouTube, but nothing worked. I decided to take a look at it and see if there was anything I could do to get it working.

The first roadblock was getting the thing open. Nintendo used Y screws on the outside of the plastic case to discourage this very repair. Fortunately, it was just a quick Amazon order and I had my new set of tiny Y screwdrivers. Getting the case off and the innards disassembled was then straightforward.
